A deal is a deal
To sign a deal, one puts time and effort, and most importantly, a conclusion is made. There are many parameters which play important role in the conclusion. Each parameter is given a weight according to its impact. Then, a statistical average is taken, and an optimum beneficial situation is agreed upon. Then changing the conclusion at the end is a waste of all the time and effort. 'Variations' ignores all those parameters that were carefully studied and analyzed. Always do away from such drastic, sudden, at the last moment, emotion-driven deviations. You know what lies at the end since you have already carefully analyzed the outputs of all other decisions. And you are very well aware of the reasons for not choosing those in the first place.
